Edgecombe County Public Schools is seeking input from families, staff, and the community on the proposed 2025-2026 traditional school calendar. Please take a moment to review the draft calendar and complete the survey by Thursday, February 27, 2025.

The calendar must comply with North Carolina School Calendar Legislation, including:

• A total of 215 days (instructional days, workdays, holidays, and leave days)

• At least 185 instructional days or 1,025 hours over nine months 

• Student start date no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26

You will notice a non-calendar day included in this year’s schedule. On this day, no students or staff report to school, and staff will not be required to take annual leave.
