The Edgecombe County Board of Education Approved the following school structures for the 2024 - 2025 School Year
Baskerville Elementary will continue to serve K-5 students.
Fairview Elementary will continue to serve K-2 students.
(Pre-K starts Fall 2024)
DS Johnson Elementary will continue to serve 3rd - 5th grade students.
Parker Middle will serve all 6th - 8th-grade students living in Edgecombe County who attended a Nash County School for 5th, 6th, or 7th grade in 2023-2024.
North Edgecombe High will serve all 9th-grade students living in Edgecombe County who attended a Nash County School for 8th grade in 2023-2024.
North Edgecombe High School will serve any 10th - 12th-grade students living in Edgecombe County who decide not to remain at their Nash County high school as a "legacy student".

The ECPS board of education decided to maintain the current school configuration of the four newly-acquired Rocky Mount schools for the 2024-25 school year.
Students will be assigned to these schools using the 2023-24 NCPS attendance boundaries.
All 6-8th grade students will attend Parker Middle School.
9th grade students will have a unique educational experience at North Edgecombe High School. Students can also apply to EDGE Academy of Health Sciences (Rocky Mount) Edgecombe Early College High School (Tarboro)
9th grade students will participate in athletics at NEHS.
Students entering grades 10, 11, 12 and 13 will have the opportunity to continue as "legacy students" within Nash County Public Schools until they graduate.
10th - 12th grade students who elect to come to ECPS will attend North Edgecombe High School Rising 10th grade students can apply to EDGE Academy of Health Sciences
