Read to Achieve Sites are Coker-Wimberly Elementary School, Carver Elementary School., and Stocks Elementary School.
RTA camp will start Wednesday, July 10 and continue through July 30.
Coker-Wimberly Elementary School will also include students from Baskerville Elementary School, D.S. Johnson Elementary School and Fairview Elementary School.
Stocks Elementary School will also include Martin Millennium Academy and Princeville Elementary School students.
GW Carver Elementary will include G.W. Bulluck Elementary School students.

We are excited to announce the appointment of Mrs. DeNeasha Strother as the new Principal of W. A. Pattillo Middle School.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from North Carolina Wesleyan College and a Master of School Administration from North Carolina State University, where she was part of the Northeast Leadership Academy.
In her current role as the Assistant Principal of Martin Millennium Academy, Mrs. Strother has demonstrated dynamic leadership and compassion. We are confident that her vision, dedication, and expertise will greatly benefit the W. A. Pattillo community.

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Ms. Tiffany Mercer as the new Principal of Stocks Elementary School.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education, as well as a Master of School Administration, both from Fayetteville State University.
Ms. Mercer has been an invaluable asset to Stocks Elementary School, previously serving as the Assistant Principal.
"My love for learning has always been a driving force in my life. It fuels my curiosity, ignites my passion, and pushes me to continually grow and improve. I believe that every challenge is an opportunity to learn, and every setback is a lesson in disguise. Success may be delayed, but it is never denied," said Mercer.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University, a Master of Arts in Reading Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of School Administration from North Carolina State University, where she was part of the Northeast Leadership Academy and a North Carolina Principal Fellow.
Ms. Palmer is well known in the ECPS community for her unwavering commitment to continuous growth and excellence in education. Currently serving as the Assistant Principal of Coker Elementary School, she has proven herself as an invaluable asset with a strong track record of fostering academic excellence and supporting student development.
"I am excited to join G. W. Carver this school year as principal. I am dedicated to fostering a school community rooted in relationships, equitable opportunities, and high expectations. My goal is for every student and staff member to feel loved, challenged, and prepared to succeed in their chosen paths," said Palmer.

The Edgecombe County Health Department is offering immunization clinics for rising 7th and 12th grade students. Ensure your child is up to date with their vaccinations before the new school year begins. These clinics provide a convenient opportunity to meet state immunization requirements.
